How does treatment with them work?

The treatment planning itself takes place in 3 main steps following a visit to our orthodontist at the Dentatime clinic and draws on the expertise of a broad international team.

Step 1

Once the orthodontist has carried out a medical assessment and confirmed that Invisalign treatment is suitable for you, photographs and X-rays will be taken and dental impressions will be made. 

The impressions are scanned in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to be transformed into a virtual model. This data will be used to create a 3D digital treatment plan tailored to your needs. 

A week later, we will receive a video simulation (ClinCheck) of your treatment, and you will be able to track the movement of your teeth and the final result. This digital simulation is based on data from over 5 million treated patients.

Step 2

The aligners are manufactured in Mexico and delivered to us at the Dentatime clinic. As soon as we receive them, we will provide you with the first set of aligners, which you should wear for 22 hours a day and change at home every 1–2 weeks on average.

Step 3

This is followed by visits to our orthodontist approximately every 6–8 weeks to monitor and assess the treatment results and receive the next set of aligners. The specific duration of treatment varies depending on the complexity of each case. 

Once the treatment plan is complete, retainers will be required to maintain your new smile, a standard procedure following orthodontic treatment. Retainers are worn for an extended period of time, typically for life.

Who is it suitable for?

Misaligned and crowded teeth

When there is not enough space in the jaw for all the teeth to align properly, they may be rotated, overlap, and sometimes even protrude significantly forwards or inwards.

This is observed in cases where, when the mouth is closed (teeth clenched), the lower front teeth are positioned in front of the upper ones.
